Frequently Asked Questions

Get Informed

Does SLT Goes Beyond Words Accept Insurance?

We are considered out-of-network with all insurance companies. This means your child will be able to receive the services that are uniquely tailored to meet his/her needs.

However, we can provide a "superbill" (a list of dates and payment of services) for possible reimbursement from your insurance. To find out more, call your insurance and discuss private therapy reimbursement options.

Is there parental involvement?

YES! Research shows that parent involvement and parent training help with generalization. SLT Goes Beyond Words gives clients the option in receiving services in the home and community, which is a large benefit. Additionally, the speech therapist will always provide tools and carry over activities to target skills at home during daily routines and activities.

How long will my child need therapy?

Every child is uniquely different and develop at different times. Therefore, it is difficult to put a time frame on therapy. Parent involvement, carry-over activities, and motivation, are some of the factors that can affect the length of service.
